study aid

I'm a new nursing student getting ready to start school for LPN now my question is I just bought a box of medications cards from kaplan. I would like to know how do I study them.

Example of one: Allergy and Asthma Medications

Antihistamines

Cetitizine HCl (se-teer-a-zene)

(Zyrtec)

Side Effects: drownsiness, fatigue, dry mouth

Nursing considerations: relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms, perennial allergic rhinitis caused by molds, animal dander, and other allergens, avoid alcohol during cetirizine therapy Rx; Preg Cat B what do that mean.:nuke:

You mean how to study your med cards?

I wouldn't really study them until you get closer to that part in your program because you don't know what drugs you'll have to know and you may study meds you won't need for the program and they may NOT allow you to use any outside drug guides other than the ones that are required for the class because that's where the test questions are coming from and if the Kaplan drug cards have a different side effect than the one that's required on a test question and you mark you will get the questions wrong.
