Students applying to SHSU Spring 2016 Nursing Program

Published

Hey I am making this forum for anyone who wants to discuss applying to the Spring 2016 SHSU nursing school!

3.7 GPA and 72 TEAS

Who all has gotten into the woodlands location so far? I got my email today looking forward to meeting y'all!

I got in the woodlands campus with:

GPA: 3.2

TEAS: 85%

SHSU credit bump: no

Previous BA bump: no

I also got into TWU and don't know which one to accept. Any thoughts?

Hmm probably whatever is closer to you!

Is anyone looking for a roommate?

I applied to main campus and still haven't heard anything yet. I'm starting to get worried. I have emailed and not heard back. Anyone else having the same problem ?

I'm having the same issue. However we should hear back back tomorrow because after applying we got an email stating we should hear something no later than 21 days after the application deadline. Which, marks tomorrow. Good luck!!

In the acceptance offer, it said we have until the October 22nd (Thursday) to accept or decline so I feel like the window has passed. I know Sam is somewhat hard to get into because of the small amout of seats to fill. Last semester I only applied to Sam and didn't get in so this time around I applied to pretty much every school that accepts the TEAS V test and got in to most. Most schools have anywhere from 90-120 spots to fill so your chances are a lot better to get in, whereas, Sam only has 20 spots in the woodlands campus and 40 at the main campus. Good luck to those who didn't make it this time around, there's always the fall!

I haven't herd anything either:(

I feel like we could have been wait listed and they are waiting till the 22 for others to reply. Because we haven't heard a no yet.

For those of you who have been accepted, what time did they send out the acceptance letters? I have not received anything yet and I am too worried. I still have faith though :) Maybe we have been put on the waiting list until the ones who got accepted accept or decline their offers, so don't lose hope! I read that the ones who are on the waiting list, will have up until the 12 day of class to hear back from them if someone declines their offer. Lets stay positive! The good thing about sam is if you do not get it the first time, you can always apply for the next term. By the way congrats to everyone who have been accepted!

I actually emailed the school today and got a response. I was told that only half of the acceptance letters were sent out and that the rest will be sent out the end of this week beginning of next! There's still hope! í ½í¸Š
