Hello! I'm starting another thread to reach out to more people to see who else will be applying to Sam Houston for the Spring of 2017 when the time comes!! Feel free to share scores or ideas and questions! My current GPA is a 3.8 and I will be taking the TEAS test next month. Hope to have a good thread going with lots of prospective students!!

Hi! I am planning on applying to the 2017 Spring term at SHSU. I am going to take the TEAS sometime in mid June! Did you take your TEAS afterall @ KaleiAlana? I am not sure what my science GPA is, but I know its around 3.4. Good luck to everyone applying! As for me, I am very nervous about this, but I have faith!

Hi! I will be applying for spring 2017, too! I will hopefully have about a 3.76 when I apply and have only taken my TEAS once with a 73 but plan on taking it again this month and then again sometime in September if need be! Best of luck to everyone
Good luck! did you just use the ATI book to study?
I used it a little but I didn't really study! I plan on using it more for this go around so I'm praying it helps me! Are you applying to Huntsville or the woodlands?
oh ok! I am planning to apply to Hunstiville, but I am still not 100 percent sure. Im torn between both campuses.
Hey everyone!!!! Does anyone else's application say "not core complete" when it comes to what classes we've taken so far? I plan on finishing the last of my basics this fall, which is why I'm not "core complete". I was told i CANT apply because of this, but there must be a mistake. Does anyone else's say "not core complete"??? I'm very stressed.
I would call and speak to someone in the nursing department. I have heard different things for different schools and it gets overwhelming and confusing, but there are some schools that will allow one course to be "in progress" while they are reviewing your application. Best of luck to you !

Hello, I applied to SHSU and when I got to the Nursing application it says Texas Core Curriculum not complete. I have contacted different people in SHSU and Lonestar College. The transcripts they received does not state that I am core complete from Lonestar College. I sent my transcripts by PDF electronic through National State Clearing House. Instead, I should have selected the mail option, which would state that I am core complete. I don't understand why the PDF electronic option would not list core complete on my transcript.
The advisor said if you are core complete from the college you are transferring from then you would be Texas Core Curriculum complete.

I'm super nervous, I have a 3.4 overall and scored 85 on the teas....fingers crossed!!
Which campus did you apply to?
I am applying with a 3.7 overall and right now I have a 75 on my TEAS. I'm taking it for the last time on Monday so I'm hoping I am able to raise it to at least an 80! Best of luck, y'all!
