Has anyone out there applied for the January 10th deadline for the fall 2018 start? I've been checking my UNC portal but I haven't heard anything yet.

I applied for the Jan 10th deadline, I have not heard anything yet either. It will probably be in the month of February before any notifications for interviews are sent out. I got waitlisted last year-I applied on the first set of applications in September and it was October before I was notified for an interview in November.

They sent out a email yesterday afternoon. It said interview dates would be March 23rd and 24th to keep those dates free.

And that they would let everyone know if they are selected for an interview or if they are not by February 23rd.

May I ask what your guys science GPA was? I'm wondering how strict they are about this requirement

Well that makes me wonder if I will get an email? I haven't so far... :( and I was waitlisted last year. My GPA was 3.65 Science GPA-3.9. Can I ask what your other STATS are? Just nervous now I won't even get an interview since I haven't gotten the save the date email.

I wouldn't count yourself out! It looked like a automated type email.

My science GPA is just below the 3.0 requirement which I didn't realize until after I applied, I didn't realize they included my general chemistry in that. I'm pretty sure that alone is going to disqualify me but we'll see.

My overall undergrad GPA is 3.64 and I have just over 4 years ICU experience.

Where else did you apply?

I was hoping Charlotte would work out since that's where my hubby wants to go to school as well :/

I am applying to VCU in VA also.

Can I ask what your GRE score was? Mine wasn't great but I hate standardized test.

I have 4 years ICU as well CVICU/MICU with CCRN-CSC certification as well, I guess I'll keep checking my email

I also don't know how much they concentrate on Science GPA, not really sure how they score the applications. I know people with less experience and certifications with the same GRE score got in last year and I got waitlisted so I'm not sure.

I thought about VCU as well. I'm trying to stay in state because of cost of tuition but just have to see if I get in anywhere local.

My GRE was 297 I hadn't planned on applying for the Jan 10th start date and last minute decided to try. I feel like I could have done better with more studying but hopefully it's enough. What was yours?

Mine was 296 í ½í¸’ Then interview is a panel interview nothing out of the ordinary. Mine was a blur because I was so nervous since it was my first interview. I probably should have retaken the GRE but my son got hurt and had two surgeries on his knee and we were been going to PT twice a week so just didn't have time. I guess now I wait and hope and pray for an interview this year.

Jessi, RN, BSN I'm kinda in the same boat as you, I have a not so great science GPA. If they take the classes I retook I have a 3.2 in my science classes but according to their spread sheet it's a 2.8. (I used to be a chemistry major and took a couple chemistry classes that no one ever takes and that ruined my science gpa) My overall GPA is a 3.5. I got a 300 on my GRE.

I hope I atleast get an interview. This waiting is giving me the worst anxiety ever!

I'm anxious about just hearing back from them too, I'm checking my emails all the time. Good to know I'm not the only one w a science GPA like that.

I would be nervous too! Panel interviews can be so intimidating. Fingers crossed we both get an interview! Last time did they just email you when they requested a interview?
