Starting a thread for anyone who's applying or applied to University of Florida's BSN to DNP Program Fall 2018. I applied for their FNP track.

Anyone here on the same boat as me?

Accepted for FNP full time! Excited for orientation (:

Who would want to start a FB group for those attending? PM me if youre attending and interested!

Has anyone gotten acceptances after May 2nd?

Hey there @tampamurse17! It won't let me send you a PM through here but I think starting a group is a great idea!

Congratulations to all of you who got in! I had applied to the full time DNP family practitioner, and unfortunately did not get in. Any suggestions or pointers? I have a year and a half experience as an ED nurse, a undergrad GPA from UF of 3.7, GRE score was okay - 153 verbal, 157 quant, 4 analytical writing. Any suggestions on areas to focus on for the application? Im going to an advisor next week :)

Hey tampnurse17 :) I recently posted on this thread, really really hoping for any pointers! Thank you!

Hey there! I had similar stats as you. I really focused on emphasizing my community work and the statement of goals. I volunteered for various projects over the years to help the community. Just some examples: child sponsorship program, Make a Wish Wheels for Wishes program, various school makeover projects, and volunteering at the VA. I think having a solid statement of goals helped. I discussed how I planned to use my degree to help give back to the community. I participated in few nursing associations and made sure I had all my certifications current (ACLS, PALS, BLS). I wish you the best of luck and hope this helps!

Sorry for the late reply, but I'd love to be added to the Facebook group!
