I submitted my application to GU's NM/WHNP program with a May 2016 start. On Sunday the decision line it says "please contact admissions." I called yesterday and was transferred to someone and I left a message, but have not gotten a return call at this point. Does anyone know the process from here or who I should be speaking to directly? Also, the decision was made in 4 days......is this a bad sign???? Thanks!!

I spoke to the admissions person for that department and he said he can't tell me over the phone that I should be receiving an email by the end of the week. I had also asked him, if I was not accepted, what I could do to strengthen my application. He led me to believe with what he said that I would be getting denied..... My GPA is not great, however those grades are from 1997-2002 and I've been a practicing labor and delivery nurse for 14 years. I am also in the Army Reserves and want to go active duty as a midwife. I applied knowing that they look at the application holistically, and that my experience would be weighed upon heavily. I knew it was a long shot but worth a try.

I submitted my application this weekend and got access to the portal today. I don't see a decision line anywhere! Where was yours? I know it's way too early to expect a decision, but I'm asking because right when I login there a little box that says, "Pay your deposit online", but nothing about acceptance. If I click the words nothing happens. I was assuming it's just a standard sentence that's thrown in there, but after reading this I'm feeling excited it could mean something more!

I submitted mine last Wednesday and got excited when I saw the same thing...but from what I can tell from reading other posts is that when a decision is made there will be a new line that says "decision" and usually will say "contact admissions"... and then you get an email within a couple days. My portal has the same "pay your deposit online" that you cannot click on...I think what people have seen if they have been accepted is it changes to a link that you can click on at the same time that you see the new "decision" line appear. I will let you know how long it takes for me to hear back! they told me 2-3 weeks for the may cohort for FNP.

Awesome, thank you! I knew there was no way they had made a decision yet, especially since I don't think they were able to get to the office because of the blizzard. I also applied to the May 2016 FNP cohort!

Here is how it looked like. The pay deposit box was highlighted and when i clicked on it, it led me to another page where i could pay my deposit. And yes, there will be a new line that says decision..contact something something lol. They called me to tell me i got accepted, got the email when they realized they never sent me the acceptance email. I hit the 3-week mark when i got accepted.
