Oh my goodness! I have no time to waste. Five classes spread all through my days. Five days a week. This is ridiculous. I realize I might be loading myself up for a difficult time but I've never had any problem with school. Although, I am going to have a hard time balancing classes, work and homework time. Does anybody have any tips to get through? As far as time management goes? I need help!!!

I'm also doing 6 classes 5 days a week. I'm working before class and in between classes. I will be out of class by 5 each day. I also have a 10 year old at home. I have set a rule of no work after my last class. Home health gives me the luxury of working a few hours before my first class and in between my classes. I know how important my grades are, and it might be tough but I can do it.
Good Luck you will do great. Sorry no advice to offer just support.

My advice to you would be schedule in studying/homework time. If you have trouble doing the work at home, maybe camp out at school or the library for an hour or two before going home to complete your work. Also, do the work as it comes to you, don't let it pile up.
Give yourself leisure time, as well.

The best time management you can utilize is to just always put your homework first. It's easy to get stuck on the couch watching t.v., surfin the web, stay out late, etc..
When I was loaded down with classes, I made sure to complete homework from each class on the day that I attended that class (or read the online material) while the information was fresh in my head. I also worked hard to complete all homework by Friday mornings (we had a week to turn in assignment) so I wouldn't have to worry about completing homework on the weekend, just studying.
It's tough, but I pulled off 96%+ in all 5 classes.

Time management is a tricky thing to learn, especially when you're used to a certain way you manage things before changes. It takes a bit of time to find where you need to make adjustments. It may mean cutting out a few hours at work, less time with the family, friends, significant other...it sucks, but sometimes it's just hard to find a medium between all of these.
Honestly, I have a 4 year old brother and a 1.5 year old sister, while I'm sitting here at 21. I don't want to deprive myself of their best years, so while I'm still living at home, I'm actually taking a break from working and just focusing on my school, this way I also have enough time to spare to help my mom around the house, and spend time with my little siblings before they become little brats! I know for a fact I'd never, ever have time for them if I kept with both.
Sometimes you just got to make adjustments, even if you can't see yourself without. I've been working since I was 16...this is a huge leap that I'm taking it - but the outcomes will come to outweigh the struggles.
I'm not by any means saying QUIT WORKING! :) I'm just stating my adjustments. You'll come to find yours with time.

With your level of commitment and focus, you'll be very successful in school and other areas. As far as the thread topic... I use written calendars to manage my time. I do deviate a little bit, but the framework is very helpful in making sure that I allot sufficient time to the various activities that are important to me. I have a basic daily schedule and I used to write on for school after every exam to schedule all of the studying that I needed to do before the next exam.

Because im choosing to take micro and a & p 1 in the same semester, I decided working is not in my best interest. I know both those classes are demanding and intense but there's no doubt in my mind I can't excel them both along with the other 3 classes ill be taking. School will become my entire life.. studying will be nonstop
