Student Applying to NVCC For Nursing Program Starting in Fall 2014 & SPRING 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am currently taking my last science class that is required for the Nursing program. I still have to take the TEAS, and I am very nervous. I am applying for the Spring 2015 program.

I will have a 3.71 GPA once I finish the summer semester. I would like to get some feedback on the TEAS and anything that can help me prepare for it. Was it challenging or pretty easy to follow?

When the nursing division is viewing the applications, what exactly are they looking at or for to determine who is accepted? How can I make sure I am in the top to get accepted?

Lastly, do you know how many students applied, and how many was accepted?

Any advice will be helpful!!!!!! Thanks in advanced!

Congrats, all!

I also just received my acceptance email yesterday and will begin the RN program in August.

Since it was asked about others, I'll share also:

Teas:

Reading: 78.6 (OOPS - not sure what happened)

Math: 96.7

Eng/Lang: 93.3

GPA: 3.84 currently

I have also completed most of the co-requisite courses.

I did not have to take TEAS, I applied to the lpn to rn program. My gpa was 4.0 and I tool all other classes.

Specializes in Emergency.

GPA 4.0, I will have all co-reqs completed with summer session.

TEAS:

Reading 90.5%

Mathematics 96.7%

Language Use 86.7% (really should have brushed up on semicolons!)
