Straighterline A&P

Has anyone taken either Straighterline A&P I or II, with or without lab? I am looking to sign up within the next week or so and am wondering if I need the book they "suggest", or can I get away with a good reference book? I have 2 A&P books as well as a companion lab book, and Vangonotes for A&P, none of which is the recommended book.

As always, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Romstead, have you finished this course and does excelsior accept it as a letter grade or pass/fail? Do you have to have preapproval from excelsior before taking the class? Thanks!

YES YOU must get a ok from Excelsior. I did through my advisor.. then I signed up for the 99.00 a month.. I started in May. I am done will all the online testing for AP-1 and just have a few labs to do. and have only the Final for AP-2.. and yes Excelsior will only give you a P/F.. .. I took the lab so I could use it for my BSN should I decided to got that route.. it has bee a great class .. challenging at times. but a very can do..

Romstead, appreciate the info. I am not yet enrolled but at the applied, prelim. Evaluation stage. Do you have to be enrolled, you think, to receive approval?

No do not ... I think they will accept it.. but.... I would talk to someone at EC.. to get the offical word,, but Im thinking unless things have changed.. they will accept it.

Just finished Straighterline A&P one with lab and A&P two with out lab.. I started on May 5th and completed on July 21.. not bad for a course that takes two semesters in a brick and motor college.. if you want any tips or info let me know. It was not a cake walk. but very doable..

I really rec. using the book that is listed for the class as all the test question can be found word for word in it..

Just completed My A&P requirement for EC. Nursing Program through Straighterline.... I did not need to take the lab but I thought having it might help if I decide to go for BSN or B,S. The corse was not a cake walk but doable. IF you have any questions let me know. EC should be getting the Transfer grades any time now. They will not be a Letter grade. but a Pass/Fail or CR. .. anyone know of a online Micro- class ?? let me know

New Mexico junior college and edukan has online micro. They arent expensive either, hope this helps!

Hey Thanks.. yes please contact me.. I have some tips.. that may help.. I still have Micro, Ls-1,2,3, and Transitions and FCCA.. working on LS-1 nest. test on aug 24th.. so I am getting it done..
