Hi, those that got in PMHNP program 2022 what was your GPA and experience. What are they looking for in applicants. I applied for the Summer 2023 program and I'm anxious. I'm wondering if I'm good enough applicant or not? ?
I was in the 11am interview. I agree the suspense of waiting a couple of months to find out such an important decision. I read on last years thread they interview 80 and about 46 get in. That means 50% chance and better if you had strong responses. My answers felt so different from everyone else. I did prep for the interview which helped.
Hii,
I had the 9am spot & everyone was a decent candidate. I was curious how many people they interview so thank you for sharing that information. Definitely super nerve wracking having to wait a few months. Is your experience primarily in psych? I was the only one not currently working in psych, so I hope that doesn’t set me back.
I have experience in psych. Not currently working there. However where I work everyone has a psych component to them. Not all my candidates had a psych back-round and many of them had under a year experience. They def did not like it if you applied to more than one of their NP programs it appeared.
Hey @mcnurse38 and @besnli that is great news that both of you got interviews. I still have not gotten a date. I wonder if the interviews are over ? I'm still waiting. Wishing the best for both of you. I'm gonna continue be on the look out. It must be very competitive, I'm wondering if I applied too late or I'm not a strong enough candidate.
Hi everyone! I applied for the Summer 2023 PMHNP program in October and received an email to schedule my interview about 2 weeks later. My interview is this Friday. I have 6 1/2 years of Med Surg/ Tele experience. I am very nervous about the interview. Does anyone that interviewed remember the questions that were asked?
Hey @mcnurse38 and @besnli congrats on finishing your interviews! Any input on what I should be prepared for? My anxiety level is through the roof!
I’d just be prepared to answer basic interview type questions. Tell us about yourself, why PMHMP, continuing education etc. They are group interviews which is a bit overwhelming, but after the first question I think everyone’s nerves calm down a bit and you just go around the room. It’s pretty basic. It’s hard to tell exactly what they’re looking for!! And I think what’s most scary is only half of us will get in! Fingers crossed for the 3 of us!

I interviewed today too! Very stressful, but all good candidates. I wish we didn’t have to wait so long to find out! Best of luck to you.
