Stony Brook U Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2014 Applicants!

Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of my prerequisites for the nursing program at Stony to apply for admission next fall! Just wanted to reach out and say hey to anyone else in the same shoes! Where else are you all applying?

SBU is obviously my first choice, but I'm also applying to NYU, Adelphi, Molloy, I might apply to York and Lehman, and I might apply to LIU Brooklyn. I would apply to Hunter, but I don't want to transfer for the spring only to be waitlisted (or rejected!) for one of their 100 seats.

does anyone know how long an accepted student has to "accept" their admission?

Sorry to hear that. Did you apply anywhere else? Dont lose hope, people have gotten accepted the second time around.

I am applying to Adelphi, even though is a little too far for me...but that would be my last option. I was thinking maybe SCCC for spring the dead line for that application is June 1st so maybe ill do that even though I want a bachelors in nursing not an associates....

You should look into Farmingdale as well, I would stay away from private colleges due to the insane amount of debts (unless you're rich lol). About Suffolk, you can get your associates and then work as a RN while going back to school to get BSN.

Just found this site, although it helps people receive good information.. For someone like me it's nerve wracking to see people getting accepted and I still haven't heard anything is scary!!! Congrats to those who have made it so far! I had my interview at the end of march...I guess as of right now I'll go by the saying "no news is good news". Does anyone think all the acceptances were sent out already or do you think they still have more to send? I hate checking my email 100x a day
