I applied to the Stony Brook BSN program a few weeks ago. I just wanted to start a thread so we can keep each other updated and answer any questions. Anyone else apply?

Wow I just found this forum. I’m a stony brook student and I had my interview Feb 8th. Didn’t get a rejection email so fingers crossed for the few of us still in the running here. This is too stressful.

Not yet, they said 6-8 weeks and the 8th week from my interview is next Wednesday

Nope! However, in the past forums I saw them get notified on a Saturday so it could be tomorrow or later today...who knows! They’ve gone as late as mid April before too, but I imagine since they sent out decisions for rejections earlier, that they wouldn’t keep us waiting that long.

The wait is killing me! Hard to focus in classes with this decision hanging out there! Fingers crossed we all find out good news thus weekend!

Im actually surprised that they sent out rejections first. I thought they would do acceptance and rejections at the same time and I'm still wondering if they sent out all the rejections already...

From what I saw in the past years forums they used to not send out rejections first, but for the 1 year program starting this summer they did. A lot of people were complaining online last year because of the fact that they had to wait to find out about SBU when other programs wanted a decision. Maybe they sent out (hopefully) all the rejections so people could commit to other programs!

this week HOPEFULLY is the week we find out- this marks 8 weeks. would it be cruel of them to send out letters on april fools day
