Starting a thread for Stony Brook University's Basic BSN Program, Fall 2021 cohort!

Hi everyone, did anyone that applied to the ABSN program (and got waitlisted) also apply to the the BSN program and not receive an interview invite? Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me, thanks!

Hey guys, anyone have an interview yet? I have mine tomorrow and am really nervous LOL I know the testing consists of math and writing, but I'm more curious about the interview portion and what questions they ask.

Was curious how the interview went? I have an interview next Monday. Also did they mention how many are interviewing for the fall and how many are going to be accepted?

It went well. Everyone was extremely nice and they asked about 4-5 questions that would be typical on a job interview, nothing crazy. They mentioned that out of the hundreds of applicants, 160 were chosen for interviews and 80 will be admitted. Good luck!!

Hello! May I ask which professors interviewed you? also were the writing and math portions hard?

I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone, but I spoke with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). And no it was not difficult. It seems to be more of a quick assessment of basic math and writing skills.

sorry for all the questions LOL. But how many math questions and how much time? also, was the writing portion basically an interview question?

Just finished my interview and I have to say the panel is extremely nice. I am just glad it's over!!!
