Hello everyone, I'm currently in the Stony Brook accelerated (1 year) program and here to help with questions you might have. It was useful for me to look at the thread from last year when I was applying so I wanted to get one started for all of you. Feel free to post questions or message me. I hope this is helpful.

I e-mailed admissions and they said that SOLAR information has not gone out yet and they anticipate that it will in late October. :)

Hello again everyone,

Just wanted to follow up on my post last night in case anyone else was having the same issue as I was with their letters of recommendation. I emailed admissions today and they said that LORs can be submitted up to a week after the application deadline, on October 11th. I'm still trying to get into contact with my last LOR, but at least I have a little more time to do so (or get a quick emergency letter from someone else). Good luck to everyone!

Hey everyone. Just received an update about SOLAR and interviews. I had emailed them to ask when SOLAR would be updated and when interviews may begin. This is the response I received: "Please do not check SOLAR for the status of your supporting documentation. The technical issues regarding SOLAR are yet to be resolved. Your application will be reviewed using the information you have provided to us online. Expect to hear from the School of Nursing at the end of the year with your admission decision. We do not have a timeline on the interview process. Thank you for your patience."

Yea I pretty much received the same email lol I guess they got a lot of calls/emails about that lol frustrating!!

They told me to ignore SOLAR, as they are still working out a few kinks (seems like they have been working kinks out for years lol). So I wouldn't worry about it right now. They told me to focus on the website where the application is actually submitted. If you still need answers, email them. They're incredibly helpful.

Did admissions tell anyone a timeframe when they will start letting people know about interviews? Has anyone seen their application portal updated?
