Hello everyone, I'm currently in the Stony Brook accelerated (1 year) program and here to help with questions you might have. It was useful for me to look at the thread from last year when I was applying so I wanted to get one started for all of you. Feel free to post questions or message me. I hope this is helpful.

I remember after the interview they said it would take 6-8 weeks, but more realistically 8-9 weeks. So it's likely we may have to still wait at least another couple of weeks.

The anxiety is killing me! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow or Monday

I know they really try to get them out before the two year program deadline to give people time to apply to that program. (I think that deadline is January 7th?)

the idea of waiting several more weeks is TORTURE!

I heard they let send out rejection letters first but I don't know. I honestly just want to find out already gahhhh this is the worst.

There are 3 types of clinical groups during the summer (traditional, DEU, stony brook). They explain the details of all 3 during orientation. You'll put your name on a piece of paper and put your preferences in order and then they randomly select. Most people get one of their first 2 choices.

Is anyone else having anxiety attacks everytime they check their email? Ah I just want to know. This waiting game is killing me. 6 weeks since my interview. I'm thinking next week we will find out, based on the timelines of previous classes.

me too!! I feel like if we haven't gotten an email yet it is probably going to be next week. I wish there had been an exact date given to us

I heard through the grapevine it will be "soon" but nothing specific.

Legit hyperventilate every time I open my email :(

Does anyone know if the 2-year program is more or less selective than the accelerated one?
