My attempt at helping those who wish to apply to the Stony Brook Accelerated (1 year) Nursing Program.

I would call the school though to see what other steps you need to go through. I need to do that myself.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted I can't wait to start this program with all of you! As for tuition, does anyone know how much it actually costs? The only thing I can find on SB's website is graduate-nurse practice that is around 12,400 but we're not technically a graduate program. I also have never had to take out loans before so I'm new to that whole process!

I read on one of the previous threads that the school charges the full time tuition for the summer and fall semesters (12 credits even though we're taking more than 12). Then the summer tuition charged is per credit. At one of the info sessions we were told that it's approximately $17,000 but of course the bursar would have exact numbers. I haven't done the math myself yet or contacted the bursar but if you find out let us know!

My question is for current Stony Brook students, what is your class schedule like? I was told you have clinicals on the weekends. In that case, do you have a day or two off during the week?
