Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2015

It's almost september, which means people are starting to get their applications for nursing together real soon. I'm currently in the 1-yr nursing program here at Stony Brook. A previous alum started the 2014 thread for us, so I figured I do the same. Feel free to ask questions or message me with them. Good luck to everyone applying! :)

I'm not sure how many they sent out already I was wondering the same thing maybe 40? But they still have to send out wait list people and rejections I haven't heard of anyone getting them yet

For the people talking about commuting from the city, people definitely do it. It's not fun but they do. You can also rent rooms in stony brook for like 500-600 so that's always an option

Personally I rented a house with 3 other girls in the program (we actually met on here :). It's worked out really well. We have the same schedule so when we have a break we can have fun together and when we have midterms we are all studying so it's nice. I would totally recommend it. We'll be leaving our place June 1st if anyone is interested :). It's a 4 bedroom house for $2250. PM me if you want info.

I'm a dude and was accepted on Dec. 4 :) I also interviewed on Oct. 24th. Looking forward to meeting you all and I, too, will be looking for a room by the university around May/June.

Anna91, cool, I wish you the best with housing or commuting, let me know how it goes. I am pretty much set on the commute. I've had worse ones. and JL76, probably don't have to say it, but I'm a guy too.

i probably will if i dont get into the 1 year but i dont have that group theory class that is required so i dont know. andd yet another day of not getting an email

Hi everyone, I was also accepted to the program and am looking to move out to Stony Brook once classes begin. I started a Facebook group for anyone accepted so we can get to know each other and coordinate any commuting/housing arrangements.
