Stony Brook ABSN 2021

Published

Hey Guys,

I applied to Stony Brook's 1 year accelerated nursing program in August. I'm also applying to their basic 2 year program, but I'm really hoping for the accelerated program.

Anyone else applying?

I applied to the accelerated! Also applied to Binghamton's ABSN, both are only 12 months so crossing my fingers for one of them. Good luck to you! ?

Good luck to you as well! I was looking into Binghamton's program, but they require chem II and I really didn't wanna take an additional course. I also applied to SUNY Downstate's ABSN ?

I understand not wanting to take another course, especially Chem II... I'm still finishing it up now, slowly. Taking it through Portage Learning though, which is self-paced so it's not as terrible as I thought it would be! ?

I applied to the accelerated.

Specializes in EMS.

So is it true that SUNY Binghamton actually wants two Psych classes? Isnt the developmental lifespan class enough?

Yes, two Psych classes. They're looking for an Intro Psych class and then the Developmental/Lifespan Psych as well

I applied! Has anyone heard anything yet? Seems like last years thread heard about interviews the week after the application was due!

Haven't heard anything yet, but if the timeline is the same as last year then we could be hearing back today or sometime next week. Fingers crossed!

This thread has more communication on it:

I emailed today and was told decisions will be sent out in January which makes it difficult because it's my first choice and I'm already accepted and set to start other programs that begin in Jan.
