Hi everyone....
I just finished my school for LVN in april 2008 through a private college. I was waiting on my authorization packet from the CA board of VN. Rather than getting authorization letter, i recieved this other letter on june 14th 08 from the board saying that board wants me to send a proof that i finished my school. When i read the letter, i laughed at it thinking that are u serious?????....... Anywaz all the paperwork was sent in again on june 17th by my school. and now the problem is that its august and i still havent heard anything from the board. All my other classmates are already getting their Nclex results back and i am still waiting on authorization letter. I contact the board plenty of times.....their response was that due to the downfall of economy, budget and not having enough ppl to work for them, everything is been delayed.
Is anyone else out there going through the same problem??? or have been, if yes then how long did it take to get the authorization letter???
I am so stressed out about all this:scrying:.....if anyone knows anything about this kind of situation, i will appreciate the sharing. Thanks alot guys.
anyone????

I graduated from a private college in San Diego county in June and had no problem with my paperwork. Once I got my application in the mail from the board, I filled it out online and got my ATT the same day. I took my NCLEX yesterday and am in nervous wreck! What did your school say, what school did you go to?

My wife, myself, and another guy graduated from the Army's LPN program back in 2000. We waited SIX MONTHS!!! The BVNPT, IMHO is staffed by idiots. What happened was that the millitary didn't stamp our paperwork, so it sat on someones desk. I lived in Sacramento and so I was in their office/calling several times a week towards the end. One would have thought that our program or we would have gotten a phonecall, but I guess it was easier to just do nothing. I suggest you not be complacent about your situation after four weeks.
i graduated from san joaquin county, it was also a private skool. I tried to talk to the director of the program but honestly it sounded like she doesnt really care, all she needed was her money, she said she really cant do anything bout it, its all board.
Whoaa it sucks to know dat few of us waited six months for dis ********. you guys think its a good idea to go down to their office in sacramento and inquire things as i live 45 mins away from sacramento?????
i am still waiting. a friend called BVNPT last week and was told they are still processing mid june.
thank you s2000... i guess am not the only one.
If you dont mind me asking....what county did u go to skool wid???
BUNNY0587, my NCLEX package from the BVNPT came today which enables me to pay 200$ to take the test. It says on the letter that it should take 1-7 days for the ATT to come. so it took about 6 weeks after graduation. I am a graduate of North Orange ROP in anaheim, SOCAL.
some classmates of mine are having issues with the paper work also, so i implore you to follow through with the school and give it +-6 weeks.

Yes, I just went through almost the same thing. I graduated LPN school in Jan. And I just received my ATT last week. I had to jump through numerous hoops, meanwhile my old classmates have been working as nurses for months. My advise is don't get discouraged & try to stay focused & study whenever you can. Good luck.
congratulations s2000 for receiving ur packet. About the ATT number, you can apply for it online and u ll receive it within 48 hours. i think its pearsonvue website....m not sure but i know all my classmates applied it online and received it within 2 days. Good luck to you know.
And also thanks to everyone else for sharing. hopefully i ll receive it soon.

I graduated in late May and it took until early July to get my ATT... I tested July 22, and it took until Aug 28 to get my results.
I'm now settling in for the next month's wait for my actual license. California BVNPT is very slow, and you must wait until you are issued a license number (online) before you can work.
