Hi. My little sister is graduating with a BS in nursing and will be getting her RN. I would like to get her an engraved stethoscope. What type of designation should I put behind her name? Do you think this would be a good gift? THANKS!

You might want to make sure that she doesn't have a stethoscope already as many nursing students have already gotten one that they plan on using once they start practicing. If she doesn't have one then it would be a wonderful gift! :)

If she does need one I would put RN after her name. : )
Congrats to her and excellent choice as gift!
If she does already have it other good gifts would be:
scrubs or a gift certificate to a nursing store

you could even put her name followed by "RN, BSN" Be careful putting her last name... I do not let some of my patients know my last name and I have blocked out my last name on my ID badge.

I think it's a wounderful idea. My friend is getting married and her boy friend is going to propose to her by engraving "will you marry me on the stethascope". I thought that was a wounderful way to ask her.
