Is it true that you get what you pay for with a stethescope, or are they all the same? what do you use?

I love my Littmann. All to often in my unit, patients are in isolation rooms and we need to use the cheapie disposable stethescope they place in those rooms. What a difference in quality; you are lucky to hear anything with the cheap disposables.
I will second that. I have a Littmann Cardiology III and love it. I can't hear a thing with the cheap disposables. In a pinch, I put a glove over my Littman and use it in an isolation room. The disposables are a joke!

When I graduated I bought an ADC 602 Cardiac, compares to the Littmann 3128 Cardiac III; it was about $80 cheaper at the UTHSCSA bookstore. I love it, and have had several doc try and bogart it after using it on the unit (ICU).
