  1. I mean no disrespect. However, if LPN's basically due the same job as RN's but are paid considerably less, unless the decision was out of your control financial, family, etc. Why would anyone choose LPN over RN? What are the advantages to choosing LPN as a career?
  2. The class is at the community college and fully accredited. Course length is 16 weeks, Lecture is once a week for 2:50 min either on campus or online, Clinical is once a week for 8 hours at a LTC facility, and lab is once a week for 2:50 min on campus.
  3. Let me clarify, I would only be taking "lecture" online, not lab and clinical.
  4. There are skills in Lecture?
  5. I will be taking the CNA course in the Spring, consisting of Lecture, Lab, and Clinical. The classroom lecture is once a week for 2:50min. I also have the option of taking it online which I would greatly prefer. Do you think I would miss out on anything if I took lecture online? Thanks.
  6. My goal is RN. I work full time and I would like to take a CNA class along w/ A&P 1 next semester, I understand what A&P will entail. Is this doable? Aside from scheduled lecture, lab, and clinical, in general how much outside time is required for CNA studies? Thanks, Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
  7. The Fall and Summer schedules are currently posted online. Click Admissions and the link will be in Red. Sunmmer registration begins April 17th.
  8. Anyone applying to the CCSN program, I would be interested in hearing the point cut-off when you find out. Thank you and Good Luck.
  9. Kenny b, I haven't purchased one yet, I was waiting for advice on what I would need specifically to accomplish this.
  10. If I use a digital recorder to record some lectures and I then want to transfer it to a CD to listen to while driving, or to MP3 format for an Ipod. Can this be done, and how difficult would it be?
  11. DesertRain, It was nice to hear from you again. I hope everything is going well for you!
  12. Thank you Woogy. I definitely agree. Is it possible to flag a user, so you don't have to read their mean spirited comments? Aside from the occasional I usually get excellent advice on this site.
  13. I too have common sense, I do try, and I am currently a 4.0 student. Perhaps I should have elaborated re; my inquiry: Today was my first day of class with the instructor, who stated that on avg. 20% of the class will pass and most will barely do so. He stated that he will teach the class as it is meant to be, unlike other instructors who try to appease prospective nursing students. He also stated that without outside tutoring it is "Impossible for Anyone" to pass his class.
  14. Did anyone take 189(Lecture) ? Is it possible to pass this class?
  15. What type of maintenance is necessary, how often should it be done, and finally how do you know when it's time to replace? do they wear out?
