STCC 2011 Hopefuls?

Just wondering if anyone else is trying to get into STCC this fall for Nursing? I'm finishing up prereqs now, and just took the HESI. I scored an 85, but want to take it again to see if I can get my score up even higher. I have a 4.0, so I'm hoping that as long as my midterm grades are A's/B+'s I'll be OK.

Ugh. I might be going nuts! Is this the longest wait ever? No changes on my end either. Good luck everyone! :)

If it's like it was when i applied last year the people who are accepted will see their WA change to say "moved to student" first. Then within the next few weeks if you're not in they will change it to say either "waitlisted" or "rejected" if you don't get in. The people who get accepted will get something in the mail first, giving them a week or two to send in their deposit to secure their spot in the program. Then depending on how many people don't send in their deposits for whatever reason, they can go back and accept more people into the program. Eventually everyone will get something in the mail, telling you you're waitlisted or rejected. The waiting is the worst part!!! I think I've checked WA about a hundred times today lol...and have a mini anxiety attack each time I click on Admission Status....

i just dont understand why the people in admissions arent willing to dish out any info!!!!!!! its aggravating me to the 30th degree. seriously. im gonna try to only check webadvisor once a day because the more i check, the more anxious i get. Besides being pregnant, i think this has to be the longest wait ever!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the message boards, but am applying for this fall to STCC also and anxiously waiting for my acceptance just like the rest of you! I applied last year but didn't make it off of the waitlist because I wasn't finished with all my pre-req's at decision time...I finished my last pre-req last summer and have just been waiting it out for this year to finally come around! I remember it was around april 5th or 9th or so last year that people started finding out, so I've started stalking webadvisor a daily basis just in case anything gets updated...can't wait to see that change from "application complete" to "moved to student"!!!! :)

Did some people find out before others? Were web advisor updates staggered?

I wonder if these people know they are taking years off of our lives :mad:

I don't think that will hurt you at all. They just want to see that you are going to be done with all pre-reqs prior to starting nursing classes. If you had some classes left to take this summer, they may chose someone who has already completed them over someone who has yet to take classes, but having classes in progress shouldn't hurt you at all as long as your midterm grades were decent.

Does anyone else think they didn't do so well on yesterdays micro test? lol. I think that may be my drop test haha!

yah I'm Sheryl! I missed a lecture last week or the week before and I think I missed some stuff that was going to be on there. Well find out tomorrow I guess.

Hahaha, how funny is it that we're all in Micro together.

I'm also thinking it's going to be my drop test :/. I was doing OK until I hit that question that didn't make sense, and I just never really got back into the groove I had going.

I've also been working for the last two hours on everything that's due tomorrow, and I should be studying for my A&P test tonight. Nothing like waiting until last minute.

no kidding, I still have to do both the the 2 disease "tests". I already did the calcs for the lab.. did we need to do the essay questions too?

I think ive checked webadvisor 20 times today haha.. still no change! :(

We need to do the autoclave questions. Not the ones about an experiment, but the general ones from the reading. They were annoying, because none of them actually came from the text - you had to read it and basically make up what you THINK is right (since you can't see any of the data boxes because of the bad copy job).

Disease ones are easy, just time consuming. I finished the nervous system, and I have to finish the cardiovascular tonight.
