STCC 2011 Hopefuls?

I don't remember exactly, but it was after I had taken A&P1 so It was either in the summer or early fall.

I think I'm just going to stick with it, I have very good grades so hopefully I will be ok! (plus I think I actually got an 89 not an 86 now that I think more carefully about it, I just can't seem to find my paper on it )

u can check on the evolve website to verify ur score and u will be fine.... are you finished with all of ur prereqs???

I personally don't know anyone in the program, or who was in the program, but at the info session he specifically mentioned that there were several accepted for the class of 2012 who had to finish 1 or 2 prereqs over the summer, and their acceptance was contingent upon their performance in those classes - he said that's part of the reason why they have a waiting list, in case those people don't score as well as they should have, or don't finish the classes at all. I did speak to someone who knew someone who was accepted, and had to finish her last pre-req over the summer...so yeah, I don't think that alone would hold us back.

Is AIC still accepting?? I'll have to check out their website, and maybe submit an app. I do have my heart set on STCC, though.

Hi all - I'm also applying this year and I'm already getting nervous! I wish that we didn't have to wait so long to find out. I'm finishing my last 2 pre-req's this semester. I got a 90 on the HESI and have mostly A's, but have a couple B's. I talked to the Dean before the semester started and she said that a couple B's shouldn't hold me back. I guess it's going to depend how competitive the pool is this year. Good luck everyone!

Has anyone else noticed a change in their web advisor? Mine now also shows nursing under program evaluation, and shows an estimated 2013 completion date! I would assume this is good news?! :eek:

Thy just means that they received your app and it's complete :). Mine has been showing that for weeks. Midterms post tonight, so I hope decisions are made soon !! If you go under "prospective student" menu on web advisor, as click "application status" and you see "nursing" change from "application complete" to "moved to student", that means you're in :).

Congrats on getting into AIC! I feel like I put all my eggs in one basket by only applying to STCC, but that's where I really want to go. The next couple weeks are going to drag by I'm sure. I'm dying to know how competitive the application pool is this year. Is everyone happy with their mid-term grades?

Has anyone heard if they put more weight on particular sections of the HESI? Just curious.

I don't know if they necessarily put more weight on any particular parts of the hesi, but you only need to get a 77 or above in the math and english parts, so I would venture to guess your grades in those sections are more important.

I have a friend last year whos hesi grade was only in the high 70's and she got in! I wouldn't worry too much if you did poorly in a section :)

I too have applied for fall 2011! I got into AIC, but am really hoping to get into STCC. Just waiting to hear like the rest of you...I had a question for anyone. On the Prospective student, admission status page of web Advisor, it still says "applied", not "application complete". Although I received my letter that the application was complete and they didn't need anything from me. Should I call them, or is this normal for it to say just applied? Just hoping it says "moved to student" soon!! :confused: Anyone know for sure when the acceptance letters go out?

I have applied to stcc for 2011 also...

Momkck when I called admissions Friday the counselors said acceptance letters would be going out around the second week of April and they are accepting around 96 students into the program!

Also does anyone know if they look at both of your grades on the HESI test if you took it twice? Or do they only look at the highest score out of both?
