which State I must choose

Published

I am planning to take NCLEX-RN exam but I do not know which State I must choose. I'd like to take it in the State that only requires NCLEX without additional CGFNS, IELTS and does not need SSN#.

Kindly give me a List of States. Thank you.

Choose the state you are planning to live, I do not think there are any states that have your wish list.

The bigger issue is that even if one gets their RN license from whatever State without having to produce a SSN, guess what an employer needs especially if you want to work in a hospital setting? Yep, a valid SSN.

The employer needs a SSN as whatever salary they give to you, the employer needs it so that they can use it for their own internal accounting and for income taxes purposes as one of the SSN function, besides documenting that one is legally able to work in the States.

Hospital sponsorships, what are those now? They have been non-existent since 2009 and will probably stay that way for another decade or two, since the US market is so flooded with more US produced nurses and local nursing new grads who many go a year or two before finding a job.

Correct myself, I meant to say the H1C visa is not longer being used since 2009.

Other hospital sponsorships still remain very hard to find as no employer is willing to wait 6 years minimum for anyone person to be hired, when there's really 100's that are just as qualified and ready to start working the next day.
