I just recently graduated from EPCC this december. I got a job at Providence and the starting pay for me as a new GN is 23.42/hr. now since i will be working nights, the differential is like 2 bucks more, and weekends is like 4 buck more. I dont know about the other hospitals though. Hope this answers your question. Oh btw, starting BSN nurses only get paid $1 more than a starting ADN nurse, FYI. :twocents:

Specializes in OB.

i agree with the last post. I worked at SMC L&D and I loved it!! that was my starting pay as a GN after six months I got a raise. Austin Texas on the other pays less! go figure!

Thanks for this information. I get so many different responses to starting pay from students who hear from other students that it's nice to hear from a reliable source.

Austin pays less, because everyone wants to live in Austin. No one willingly lives in El Paso...I was born and raised there, and couldn't wait to leave!

Hi. I was wondering if Providence still offers a sign on bonus? I know they have a new training program for new nurses, and didn't know if they still over a sign on bonus?
