Hey guys, I have a question. For those who are 45 and over and have children, would you start over again? I have a friend who is recently divorced. He is 45 and has a grown child and a 10 year old. He has a 31 year old girlfriend with no children who wants at least one child (needles to say the relationship is serious). How many of you guys would start a new family approaching 50?, or would you date a women a bit older who has, and does not want anymore children. Thanks for the input!!

Being a guy in that age range, married, divorced, father...I would have to pass on a second go round starting a new family with a potential youngin' at my heels. Nope, I would have to pass.

As the saying goes, "Been there, done that."

I'm 47, new grad as an RN, second wife of 6 years, who is much younger then me with a 5 month old at home. I also have a 19 year old who is out of the nest. I would not change anything. "As the saying goes, "Been there, done that." is not in anyway true, it is very very different this time around.

Hey, I'm 47 and a new grad RN also. Married second time around (for 3 years), 18-year-old daughter from my first marriage. We're expecting in July.

Your friend, eh?:D (sorry, couldn't pass that up). Sounds like the main issue here is (chronological) age. Not much of an issue to me. So, yes I would, but I love kids and the active lifestyle that comes with it.
