Hello guys! So here I am, now mentally & physically ready to study and retake the exam. As you all know, i failed my NCLEX-RN last February 13. Which made me feel sad, depressed etc. but now, i feel like I can do it. Last time, i enrolled on THE Kaplan Review Class and to be honest, I did not used their sources pretty well, because I took them for granted, and I admit it was clearly my fault. So as I failed, Kaplan let me attend their live review classes for FREE, and its scheduled for July 9. So, im so thankful. Now the problem is, I dont know where to start. Could someone please help me? They also let me re-open my online account and i can access their QTrainers, Qbanks etc. PLease help me! Thank you so much!

Here are a few tidbits....
Just wondering what your candidate report said when you failed? Was there a few areas that you were below the passing standard? That could be a start. Was there a particular topic that NCLEX really hammered you with? What do you feel was your weakness?
definitely know the basics like, lab values, med dosage, ekgs, procedures, positioning, diets, all the precautions like airborne etc.. and things like that.

I know how that feels EXACTLY! I too took Kaplan and I took all the QTrainers and QBank for granted and barely did any but what I did do is read their Course Book and Basic from cover to cover twice during my review. Pretty good for content if you ask me. I unfortunately failed my first take in May 2013 with 265 questions. Now I planning on taking my exam in July. What I did was try to figure out why I failed, what went wrong. I checked out the Kaplan Course book and thy have a checklist there for retakers on what could have gone wrong. I found mine to be more on fatigue and expectations of what the exam would be like. Now I'm focusing more on my stamina and I'm answering questions from Saunders, Hurst and NCLEX 4000. I suggest answering questions more because when I took NCLEX it was all more on concepts anyway.

I would focus on Kaplan and read the rationales. Also, make sure you try to improve on the areas that you scored less.
Saunders and Kaplan is too much if youre just brushing up the topics. Unless you want to cover everything. In my opinion.
Thank you guys, I guess I'll just practice taking questions. Coz reading the rationales do feel like reading some content right? I have alot of time, so i guess it'll be enough for me to pass. Thanks for all the awesome suggestions and comments :)
