I started online classes at Walden U this fall for Nursing Ed. It is a WAY more difficult then regular school! I find myself constantly going to 'class' becasue I have to post something! The assignments are also difficult. Anyone else going to walden this semester?

I am in their Psychology PhD program. This is my 4th quarter. I find online courses to be much more difficult than traditional courses. However, I really like this school. The only problems I have had are with the offices in Baltimore. The professors are great in my program.

Kitty,
I started Walden last September. I am now in the second class of the nurse administration tract. It is very difficult and requires a lot of work. I spend at least 20 hours per week on assignments. I have learned a lot but all at the expense of much hard work and discipline.I have found Walden to be a student-centered learning facility, which means that you must research , gain understanding, and learn on your own.

For some reason, many people are under the assumption that online learning is easy. I agree with all of you. Although I just recently began working on my nursing degree at a bricks and mortar school, I am one class plus fieldwork away from a M.S. in Educational Administration done completely online. You talk about challenging. Lots and lots of reading and writing. I really learned a lot. I have never read so many textbooks in my life. So I totally agree, online learning is a lot of work because all the motivation comes from you.
