Ok just looking for some opinions/advice.. I am graduating in May an recently just secured a job. Now they have 3 different orientation dates - June, July and September. I have to pick one of them but I'm conflicted when to start. I don't really want to start until I pass NCLEX cause I think it would be really embarassing to them be demoted to tech until I can take it again. But on the other hand, I dont really want to wait too long to start. I'm hoping to take NCLEX in early June if possible. What would you choose and why? thanks!

That is nice that you get a choice of when to start! All of the ones here start in June. I graduate in May too, and I think a month off in between is sufficient to take the NCLEX and have a nice vacation.
I would say June or July, but to me, September is so far away. I would be afraid that I would forget how to be a nurse or something.
I am trying not to worry about NCLEX. I am thinking positive. They say that your HESI score is usually a pretty good indicator of how you will do on NCLEX, so if you did well on that I wouldn't worry. :)

I heard that too and thats why I'm worried! I've gotten all 80s and 90s on lecture tests throughout nursing school, but we take ATI(which is like HESI) after every semester and I think the highest score I ever got was like a 62. I do HORRIBLE on those!!

I would do September, take Nclex asap. That way if you fail, WHICH YOU WON'T, you have a chance to take it again. Plus when you pass you get a chance to take a well deserved break and get your life in order before you start.
