  1. For those of you with an ADN, was it hard to find a job when you graduated? For the RN's out there, have you seen any favor toward a BSN? >> When I was interviewing they honestly didnt even ask ADN or BSN, as long as you had your RN thats all they cared about.
  2. Did you use anything other than kaplan as far as for content review? or u only did kaplan? and did you apply the decision tree when u went for the exam? >> No, I only used Kaplan. And i definitely did not apply the decision tree because I felt it just confused me even more! I jsut took it like any other regular test in school went with my gut feeling on what was right.
  3. Hey I dont know about the rate of passing and all that but I just wanted to let you know something. I did HORRIBLE on my kaplan trainers like low 50s on every single one of them. I took NCLEX this past week and passed with 75 questions. I really think kaplan was much harder, imo.
  4. CONGRATULATIONS! You can now breath easily. How did you prepare for the nclex? >> well im not the best to take advice from i don't think. i did the kaplan course, but only did a few days of questions. really i feel like no studying could have helped its just too random. also, i felt kaplan was way harder than nclex actually.
  5. I officially passed!! the pearson vue trick is definitely true!!
  6. I just took my NCLEX this morning and I waited for it to say "delivery successful" - I tried the trick a few hours ago and I got the pop-up, it wouldnt let me pay! Yay!! I'm still scared though ahhhh!! I will find out my results Monday so we shall see. Anyone actually heard of anyone seeing the popup and actually failing??
  7. Ahhhh so my test just said "delivery successful" and I tried the PearsonVue trick and I got the pop-up, it wouldn't let me pay!! yay! I hope this trick is true and works out in every case! I'll let you guys know when i get the quick results in 2 days
  8. nope i didn't try the trick yet because my test still says "ready for delivery". i hope it says "delivery successful" at least by tomorrow so i can check!
  9. Hey everyone. I just got back from taking my NCLEX. I feel like i got so many questions wrong and alot of them seemed too "easy". Also I got the same disease in like literally 10 questions. I got about 10 SATA, 3 drop and drag, about 10 pharm. My test shut of at 76 questions and I know the last few I got wrong because i looked them up. AHHH im sooo scared! How soon will the pearsonvue trick work, tonight? Any thoughts anyone?
  10. Hmm..I have 2. A flight attendant or a MTV VJ.
  11. I am trying not to worry about NCLEX. I am thinking positive. They say that your HESI score is usually a pretty good indicator of how you will do on NCLEX, so if you did well on that I wouldn't worry.>> I heard that too and thats why I'm worried! I've gotten all 80s and 90s on lecture tests throughout nursing school, but we take ATI(which is like HESI) after every semester and I think the highest score I ever got was like a 62. I do HORRIBLE on those!!
  12. Ok just looking for some opinions/advice.. I am graduating in May an recently just secured a job. Now they have 3 different orientation dates - June, July and September. I have to pick one of them but I'm conflicted when to start. I don't really want to start until I pass NCLEX cause I think it would be really embarassing to them be demoted to tech until I can take it again. But on the other hand, I dont really want to wait too long to start. I'm hoping to take NCLEX in early June if possible. What would you choose and why? thanks!
  13. I live in Connecticut and I make $16.00/hr. I work at a hospital in New Haven.
  14. We are in a recession, I am sure when they told you about job opportunities in nursing was not last year or this year. >> This is another thing I dont understand. How can they justify this excuse in HEALTHCARE?! Reccession or not, hospitals don't have less patients, less workload, or things they can skimp on! Just doesnt make sense to me.
  15. Hi I am just looking for suggestions of places nurses can work besides a hospital or nursing home. Like not just at a "clinic" or "insurance company", but specific places in CT - esp those that are willing to hire new nurses. Also on another note I am sick of hearing all this "oh once you are a nurse you can pick the place you work, pick you salary, pick you hours, never be outta of a job, blah blah". This is such BS!! Hardly anywhere is hiring, and those places that are right now want experienced nurses and only night shift. I'm sick of this hiring freeze too - figures the time I am graduating!! thanks so much! :)
