Good luck to all those applying!

Okay so I got my meeting time (Friday 9:45am…)

we're going to be joined with up to four other candidates so very similar to Palo Alto

does anyone know if it's just one round of interviews? or will there be a second round?

I got an interview for 11am Friday. Anyone else has that time?

I don't know but they're doing everything the same as palo alto so far... But I remember the second interviews being over the phone for people.

Does anyone know if Stanford reimburses for travel expenses? I've been booking my stuff and it's getting pretty costly... Esp since we don't even know our chances getting in

They do not. Just imagine how much money they would spend if they covered the costs for every single person traveling. It's just the risk you have to take when interviewing for positions far away from you. The Stanford in Palo Alto does not cover costs either.

Does anyone know the dress code? Business casual? Scrubs?

I had a question. I received an interview for Stanford. In my questionnaire I said I was open to working on any unit. What unit will they be interviewing me for then? Also how are you guys preparing for the interview?

Hi! I put my unit as the neuro one! I think they'd be pushing for more of the med surg units then since ED and ICU are competitive as it is. But who knows ?

Also in terms of practicing, I think I had failed the palo alto location bc I over practiced and sounded robotic. So im trying to tap into my "zen" hahahaha

I saw you were also on the Kaiser forum! Did you get an email back from them?

Yes Kaiser received it! If you don't mind me asking what type of questions did Palo Alto ask? I am not sure how I should prepare LOL

Congrats to everyone who got an interview! LOL I didn't hear back for this one but ended up accepting an offer at lucile packard. It just goes to show everywhere is different! After going through 5 interviews now, 4 of them being panel interviews w/stanford and lucile packard my most important advice is to SMILE & make eye contact! I noticed a lot of people were overly serious & not connecting w the interviewers. People remember how you make them feel first and foremost, so if you're able to show a bit of personality while answering the questions you will be remembered! Remember they are also looking to see how you would fit into the unit bc lets be honest, anyone can answer interview questions but not everyone will necessarily fit into that unit culture etc. & of course have scenarios that can fit into multiple categories of questions. Adding in words like "family centered care, evidenced based practice, safety" they love to hear! Good luck you guys ?
