Stanford New Grad RN Residency August 2022

Published

Wanted to create this so everyone applying for the August 2022 cohort for Stanford's New Grad RN residency program can stay up to date! :)

During the webinar on Tuesday, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) said only about 35% of interview invites had gone out! Since a few days have gone by, I'd imagine the percentage is higher now, but it sounds like there's still a pretty significant amount of interviews to go out :)

I received an invited yesterday for Surgical Division! For those still waiting, don't lose hope. Invites are still going out!

Also question - I missed the webinar since I did not get accepted until after. Does anyone know if the webinar was recorded and would be posted?

Hi All!

Congratulations to everyone who has received an interview so far! I got my interview the other day and I have 2 questions. Has anyone come across and good practice interview questions? Does anyone know how many they're hiring for ED?

Good luck everyone and thank you for starting this thread! It's nice to know I'm not the only one going through this.

Hello! When did you get your interview for ED?

I think they’re hiring 2 for ED!

Yikes, only 2?!? I actually got an interview for Med 1 but one of my girlfriends got an interview for ED. She's stressed because she thought it was a low number being hired. I didn't realize how low...

Yup! For med 1 they’re hiring 15!
yeah ED was my top choice but I didn’t get an interview—but the fact that she got an interview is good!! They’re interviewing 20 and hiring 2! The HR person told me 400+ people applied for ED itself!

Any interview tips? I'm a bit nervous about the interview.

For anyone who missed it.

Same. Especially now that I know they are only hiring 2 people for Clinical Trials ??

Thanks for the vid, @Leesh! For those interested, I just received my email for an interview an hour ago for Oncology (Oncology Hematology/Medical Oncology). Looks like there are quite a few slots left open (atleast 10!).

No current RN license, and practicum was at a urology research outpatient clinic.

hi everyone, I have an interview on the 23rd but I got a notification this morning that my application on the portal was withdrawn? Did anyone else get this as well?

@svbs congratulations! My application portal was withdrawn last night. This morning I received a rejection letter. Congratulation to each of you, and the best of luck as you continue through the process. I will try again in November.
