Wanted to create this so everyone applying for the August 2022 cohort for Stanford's New Grad RN residency program can stay up to date! :)
Good Luck everyone on interviews!! && don’t give up hope to those still waiting. If it helps. I turned in my application about 5 min before the deadline.
I got my panel interview invite for my number 1 choice of ICU on 06/01/22.
I heard the first panel interview is behavioral questions. Currently trying to Google and research what’s the inside of what to expect for the interviews but no luck. I’m from SoCal so not much info speaking with nurses around here. If I find out anymore info, I’ll post it on here cuz y’all we are in the same boat just trying to succeed. ?

Thank you for the positive energy. Can I ask if you have your license already?
Also, re ICU, a friend recently interviewed for another hospital ICU & he was asked ICU-related scenario questions e.g., you see this type of rhythm on the monitor what does this indicate, what med will you give? Pt is crashing, what will you do? etc. I do not know if Stanford will be as detailed but it might be good to know the basics ? Hope that helps.

I was a CNA for 1.5 years LVN for 5 years. Now up is my RN.
Yasssss! Love those!! I feel that would be with the unit managers. I did read that the first panel is with a recruiter then from there if they feel you're the right fit, they send you over to interview with the floor managers. Thank you for sending the help. Appreciate you!
There are no interviews with recruiters that is the wrong information. The first interview is a panel interview and is with 4-8 nursing managers all from within the particular specialty you were selected for. Then the unit interview is after with just the particular unit who is interested in you. :) They included this in the email confirmation when you confirm your interview time.

During the interview zoom session, I saw that they were only offering 2 spots in ED so I'm happy to be considered for my next choice!
Congrats!! I hope I'm remembering you correctly, but I think you said this was the second time you applied. Did you change anything in your application to get an interview this time around? Just curious because I don't have the strongest feeling about the app I submitted and I'm planning to apply for the next cohort in a few months :)

Yes it was my second time. The only thing that really changed was I took my NCLEX haha.
I rewrote my essays but honestly I don’t think that was the problem.
