Hi everyone
I recently graduated from a BSN program and passed the NCLEX-RN. I got into the residency program in St. Vincent Hospital. Does anyone get accepted into the program as well ? Or how’s the work in St Vincent hospital ? Thank you

Hi there,
I also got accepted. I start at the end of this month in Indianapolis. Where will you be working at?
Hi
I will start in March in Indianapolis 86th St. campus. Very exciting to get into the program. Do you know many people in one cohort and what's the schedule will look like?
Congratulations on your new position. Unfortunately, I don’t know how many new nurses in one cohort. As far as the schedule, it is a combination of live and virtual classes along with modules. I had a friend of my friend who was in the program; she liked it. I guess it’s a good program. Also, I’m not familiar with the area because I’m moving from a different state. What are the safest and nearest cities from the hospital to rent an apartment? Do you live around? Any housing recommendations?
Hi.
I am from Massachusetts. I am going to buy a new house or rent. Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville are all great towns around the area. You can rent a luxury studio with 1000 dollars in those great area. Do you know how long the training will be ? They told me we will have 8-12 weeks training and then we will do interviews with the department we like the most, then start to work as a true staff nurse. Is this the same information you have ?
Thanks for the info. I heard Plainfield is not bad either. Yes, it is 8-12 weeks training then we will interview with 3 different unit managers to start working as a true staff nurse. It is different each term so the person who was in the program before us can’t really tell me much. I pray everything goes well. I’m from Florida
Thank you so much ! I can’t wait to see you in St Vincent hospital. Maybe at the time when you finish the training then I will just start the program. Are you starting the Ned of January ?
Can’t wait to meet you over there. I start January 25th. I just landed in Indianapolis. I have my occupational health tomorrow.

Carmel, Zionsville, Fishers are the closest, but on the expensive side. Plainfield and Avon would be more economical, but farther away.
I hope this message finds you well.Today I was shocked when my manager emailed me about my License. I have a compact license with Florida as my primary state of residence, so I was told that I will need to endorse it. I looked under the Indiana board of nursing website, and it shows that I must endorse the license. Do you have a compact license? If yes, how long does it take to endorse it?
I applied emergency Indiana RN license but it’s only active for 60 days. I applied and got it next day. For the endorsement, usually takes few weeks. You need to get FBI fingerprint and background check. Go to Indiana nursing license website to apply for the endorsement. You can apply emergency license today and get it tomorrow, while you are waiting for the endorsement. In addition, endorsement will boost your hourly pay so you will need to apply the endorsement soon.
Thanks so much for the information. If you don't mind can you please tell me how to apply for the emergency RN license? I went on the Indiana board's website and I cannot find how to apply for it. I will start with the endorsement process tomorrow. Thanks again for all the great info!
