Hi everyone
I recently graduated from a BSN program and passed the NCLEX-RN. I got into the residency program in St. Vincent Hospital. Does anyone get accepted into the program as well ? Or how’s the work in St Vincent hospital ? Thank you

You need to endorse your license to Indiana since you are moving there, but you can work under your compact license until you get it endorsed. There is no need to get an Indiana license prior to day 1 of working.
Per NCSBN: When moving (changing primary state of legal residence) to a new NLC state, it is the nurse’s responsibility to apply for licensure by endorsement. This should be completed upon moving and the nurse should not delay. There is no grace period. The nurse may not wait until the former license expires to apply in the nurse’s new state of legal residency. The nurse may practice on the former home state license only UNTIL the multistate license in the new NLC home state is issued. Proof of residency such as a driver’s license may be required. Upon issuance of a new multistate license, the former license is inactivated.

You are a new grad orientee and you are asking for someone to call you at the nurses station so you can chit chat about the hospital. Your job as an orientee is to learn everything about your job the entire shift, not sit at the nurses station and take personal phone calls.
