$35 a day for meals and incidentals
$100 monthly for parking
$1350 month housing stipend or take their housing
$6 week for health, dental and vision
Now here is the kicker......drum roll please.....
$12.50 per hour base rate
For a total of $22.85 per hour to take this position.
And I should mention this is Psych so I understand the pay may be lower. This is my very first offer and I feel like this company is trying to take advantage of me. My hopes and spirits are broken.
I start the new assignment on May 23rd. I am so excited! Since this is my first time, I am not really sure what to expect. But, I am super easy to get along with and I am a fast learner so I have that going for me!
Thats a joke!!!! Psych or not! I cant believe they would even insult you with that offer. I didnt read the replies or see how long ago this was posted, I just stopped short at the wage.Crazy.
I am on my first (and last) contract with CCTC. The company is not good but the hospital that i am at is even worse. It is a mess. I do not like the software. It is Cerner. I am used to McKesson and have used it for years. I interviewed the nurse manager on this floor at this location before I went out there. I have been there a week and she is leaving. Most (not all) of the older nurses hate travelers. I have been asked every day, how can you travel when you only live 200 miles away. There is so much misinformation. I make 23.50 with my night diff. I get 850/mo for housing. I do get reimbursements on perdiem meals. Buy the work at this hospital isn't worth it. They work like junk yard dogs.
Other than the low pay, you just described about every Travel assignment out there..Think of it like this: If the place wasnt messed up, they wouldnt need you.
Who cares what the older nurses say, they are probably jealous & wondering how they can get on the road themselves.
