Difference between travel and agency??
You are a cost not an asset. The Company negotiates the billable rate,( my last assignment...rate 95.00/hr) and then your Money starts going away. It doesn't matter what you Contract says, the facility does what IT wants, schedules, hours to work, Breaks, floating. This is why I'm leaving nursing. I thought Slavery went away.....

Reputation of a travel company
I have their handbook, I just got off the phone with them after telling them I would not be going to an assignment in California. Problems? the pay rate was 17.50 after all the Stipends. the recruiter had told me that I would be making over 1,000$ per week, then suddenly the take home went down to 900$. When I told the recruiter that an hourly that low, I didn't want the IRS coming to visit....Stay away from them, They like to threaten their Nurses with Lawsuits

When I get submitted for a Job, I have already asked the recruiter, what is my take home, every week or every two weeks, AFTER Housing ,or stipend is taken out, basically after every thing is taken out. If you work in California, ask what is your Blended rate. Some Hospitals pay on a blended rate, where everything over 8 hours is time and one half. The thing you have to realize there is no "FREE" Housing. The best way to get a set # of orientation days is to ask for it to be included in your contract. And when you get your Contract, READ it all. And if they won't put it in, go somewhere else. As a wise man said, "This isn't personal,it's just business"
