I am so excited to say the least. LOTS of prayer, 20lb gain , laughter and tears later I finished my 1st semester of nursing school. I can say that it was not easy with 2 young children, husband, and other things in life going on but it can definitely be, and was done!! God is so amazing. I prayed everyday, practiced and studied a lot. Hope this helps someone. Currently in med surg 2.

I just got my final grade for my first semester as well. What a relief!
I too have worked full time, put on 10 lbs., am raising 5 kids, and couldn't have done it without my husband.
Looking forward to summer, and one more semester to go.
Good job to you, and good luck next semester!

WOOHOO FOR PASSING! Not so woohoo on the weight gain.. lol. I've been so stressed I barely eat, so I've lost 15 pounds. We finish our finals next week, and I am so ready to be done with this semester. Then med surg!

Congrats! Keep the faith and hang in there!
So sorry I am so late seeing this post. So busy these days. I'm sure you have found out by now that studying hard and prayer is the key to nursing school. Review lots of YouTube videos for anything you don't quite understand until you do. Ask your teacher, peers, anything that will help you succeed. Stay strong, you can do it!!!

Right! I felt such a relief after the 1st semester as well ALOT of hard work, late study nights and missing almost everything was all worth it. Since this post I was advised to start working out, eat better and I've tried diet pills that gives me energy and helps me think clearly after long hours of studying (phentermine) I have lost the 20lbs yay!! but I always feel it creeping back with BIG exams coming up. I am now in my 3rd and last semester..one more BIG exam and I will be sitting for my NCLEX by the grace and favor of GOD. I am so happy! but will be ecstatic when my Big exam is over. Hope all is going well with you as well.

Really needed to see this! I am currently in my first semester and was feeling so low, confidence wise. I too have 2 young ones and a husband, and going from a stay at home mom to this has not been an easy transition and i feel like i am giving less of me to my family and its killing me. I struggle with praying so this definitely encouraged and reminded me of the importance of that, and also gave me the reassurance that i can pass this first semester! Thank you! God bless!
