Hello Everyone! I just started my first semester as a nursing student, and I'm on this journey to get my AS degree to be an RN. I'm already overwhelmed with all the reading/material and everything, so I was hoping to get some encouragements and advices to get/keep me on the right track from anyone of you who has and is experiencing this along with me:o. Thanks in advance and may God bless you all!

There is so much great advice and encouragement here though, I'm positive we will all make it through just fine, and maybe someday we can give advice and encouragement to others! :roll
Hi Laurainaz and Welcome this is a great place to visit ! Nice to have you here. Good Luck with your program too!:)
Hi fellow nursing students!! i just started my 2nd year of our ADN program (semester 3 of 4). already it is insanely hard!!! we had a test last week that had 395 pages of material on it.
~what i've learned to do is worry about what is due tomorrow. read every chance i get, get a study group (no more than 4 to be successful). i'm not sure how your class is structured but we have a certain amount of objectives that have to be covered on the tests. we have 4 people in my study group so we all split up the objectives and make them as detailed as we can and then share with the rest of the group. then we get together a day or two before the test to go over the objectives, add any other info, clues to remembering certain facts, etc. it's really helpful b/c we explain our own objectives to the others and you learn it by voicing it (make sense?) and it saves us loads of time that we would spend doing all the obj's ourselves. so far our group is very successful. we are 4 of the top 5 in our class. well, that's all i know now.
~good luck to you all!!
