St. Rose Dominican New Grad RN March 2014

Hi, I was accepted to the St. Rose Dominican Hospital New Grad RN in Henderson NV 2014 cohort. I understand there are some delays in start date of the program due to some internal issues. I am wondering does anyone have any updates on the program and is there is new program start date. I am super worried that this cohort will be cancelled. :(Thanks!

Hi! do you guys know if they still open for new grad program? i can't seem to find it on their website. How can i possibly see the infos about the program? THanks!

They start new programs every 2 months. They hired a group that'll start in September. So the next one will be in November. Apps will probably go out in Oct. There's only a one week window to apply and get all the required documents in. Look out for it. If I were you, I would email them and ask what dates the applications will be available. Good luck!

Yes and no. It takes the average new grad around 6 months to get a job around here. I have seen people do it in 2 months, even less if they had a job as an aide, nurse apprentice, etc. The St. Rose new grad program hires around 8 RNs for each cohort. Other new grad programs in Las Vegas is rare, but they are out there. It really is about applying at the right times.

...it's even more about who you know. Which is totally unfair! I moved 2 hours away for a first RN job. When I came back- it was all because of someone I knew helping me get an interview in a hospital.

Thanks for the information, it was really helpful. I had a questions regarding the application process also. I applied to the same hospital, did the math assessment and also got an interview a few weeks ago. My status online changed from "Manager review in Process" to "Completed". I know official offers will be made on June 19th but i was wondering if you had similar experiences when you applied? Thanks for your help :)
