St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

Published

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site.

I've recently taken the HESI at SPSON, I got an overall 91%. I'm planning to go to the evening classes if I get accepted. The next step is the interview with the President of the school? Anyone else applying to SPSON?

I was actually able to get into it last night. It did say that i was enrolled.

Omg congrats girl I'm so nervous now

I don't think my comments are posting! Eva what did they say to you exactly?! Congrats again!!

I got the phone call and I'm in!

Congrats everyone !! Hopefully I'll get a call soon

When did U guys get the call what time was it and what did they say

Well I called then around 4:00 regarding financial aid and they told me to wait on hold bc they wanted to transfer me to admissions.. I would suggest calling them if you didn't get a call today.

Well, I actually missed the call. They left me a voice mail saying congratulations and that I have been accepted for the Spring 2015 class. She also said that I had to get back in contact with them by Monday, if not they would be moving on to the next candidate. I have called, left a voicemail and emailed them, no response from them as of yet.

I know you all are excited, and you should be, but please be cautious about attending a school without the NLN accreditation. I dug this up from AN forums for a quick read. 40-50k is a lot of money. Also, please note that the poster at the bottom of page one, and understand that she is posting in the year 2011.

I hope I'm just being paranoid, but I want you to have information before you decide to take on that much debt.

I am not, sorry :(

However, if you know the names of any of the professors (should be able to get them off the school website) search Rate My Professors - Review Teachers and Professors, School Reviews, College Campus Ratings to see what students have said about them. A quick google search yielded this:

St. Paul’s School of Nursing – Queens Reviews By Students

I don't know if that might help you, but do check out all your options before going. Did you apply anywhere else?

Hi how are you? I see everyone has questions. Well not sure on what campus you are going to attend, but I am at the one in Staten Island they are both pretty much the same. I see a lot of people stating things that are both true and untrue. For starter not only 100 people get in and not 1000 people register. Even if many people do register the reason why the acceptance rate is so low is because they are including people who failed there Hesi. Now if you passed your Hesi and background check, and also have your CPR and physical in you are good. Even if you don't have your CPR they have a class on campus. Another thing yes they do call you for the acceptance if its close to starting time. If you have been waiting...... call them, beg them!!! call everyday! most people get in. Nights are best! get your self a friend in the morning class too, once you start classes you will understand why I said that. so when you are at orientation mingle and exchange numbers with them. If anyone has any questions feel free to email me [email protected] I'm really cool with a lot of people and maybe I can check on your delay. I am going into my second semester and did very well in the first. I can give pointers on how to study and what to study. just here to help. I was right in your place a few months ago waiting and wondering and doubting and driving myself insane. DONT be patient!!! call!!! check with your intake person. express how much this means to you. Good luck everyone!!!
