St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

Nursing Students HESI

Published

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site.

I've recently taken the HESI at SPSON, I got an overall 91%. I'm planning to go to the evening classes if I get accepted. The next step is the interview with the President of the school? Anyone else applying to SPSON?

Good luck to those who's first day of school is today!

For those who started how was your first day ??

I start Monday!

I also start tomorrow! I was able to pick up everything except my ID on Friday. I'm a bit nervous but excited.

I would say that so far everyone staff and professors seem really nice and dedicated to the students. My Nursing professor is pretty cool- there's a lot of reading involved but so far so good

I finished my first day.. I had anatomy and physiology 1 lecture and labs.. Because we started with the basics the teacher rushed through it... I hope that's why at least... I hope for the future classes that she will thoroughly teach the material as opposed to just reading off the slides... If she does continue to do so then we'll all have to come into class already prepared for the chapter she's "teaching" that day.. The lab seemed relaxed and more chilled out than the lecture. It felt more like a review of the lecture today. What we're all your guyses experience with your classes?

Today was actually my second day of classes. First day I had Nur 100 (Foundations). Professor was really nice and I like her teaching style. I realize reading ahead is necessary for this particular class since she see likes to randomly call students out. I don't mind that aspect though because it only helps me to always he prepared. I also had English today and it also went smooth. Not difficult at all. I think our first semester will be rather smooth. I'm aiming for all A's. It still hasn't hit me yet that I'm in nursing school lol. I wish everyone all the best this semester and study study study

You attend the day classes? Which books do you need for foundations? We don't have classes on Monday, school will be closed.. Just letting Ya'll know.

Yes I attend day classes. For foundations it's a fundamentals of nursing textbook, which we are required to bring to class. I was also aware we do not have class Monday but thank you for the heads up. How are classes going for you?

Not bad I have concepts tomorrow, thank you for letting me know about bringing the textbooks to class! It's super heavy! I might get a wheely nap sack if we really do have to bring in the textbooks. Who do you have for a & p?

I'm still waiting on my letter
