St. Michael College of Allied Health or Career Training Solutions?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Im so torn as to which school to go to. Im tired of the only options in community colleges having almost a year long wait. I already have all my pre-req's from UDC so im good on that when I want to get my bachelors degree after becoming licensed RN. Does any one have any tuition information for either schools or know anything about them? I know career training solutions does offer federal financial aid which i like but i know nothing really about the other school. Any info would be helpful!!!

Hi did you ever end up going to St. Michael?

no one should go to this school. the school is a scam. the owner is out to get peoples money . so many people go to this school and leave with nothing after all the money and energy spent. go to this school at your own risk of loosing your time your money and enrich the pocket of a very rude don't care owner. seriously not a school to go to if you plan to be an rn.

If you are serious about becoming a nurse then better look for another school(Either in DC or Virginia Campus) You may never graduate in that school. Ask from former students online and read the reviews before you enroll. No one has anything good to say about that school or it's owner. You have been warned

Please don't go to that school. They will be nice to you at first and when they have taken your money then show you who they really are.. They set you up for failure. They only have one good teacher in the school all the rest know nothing.

please don't go to at Michael school

St.Micheal's School of Nursing:I'm glad I came across this and not a minute to late. I'm suppose to go tomorrow to take the Hesi test for the LPN program.

I was really hopeful since the school isn't that far from me. I currently have several friends enrolled in the program, one due to graduate this March and they love it. Has anyone attended either school,Va or DC?

Why are people labeling this a bad school?I'm suppose to take the test to attend in Jan tomorrow. Is it the teachers,a scam or just never get anywhere????I just want to be sure.I really had my hopes up.

Thanks

Hey girl I also am trying to go to Saint Michele I got my fafsa application in for them and everything and applied. Now I am studying for the HESI so I can take that and hopefully pass. What did you think about the exam. I am not worried about Reading but worried about Moth. like I suck at math but they gave me a study guide so I will memorize that. Do you go to the one in Alexandria in richmond highway how do you like it. and what do you think about the people that go there. Are they nice. lol Please keep me updated

Hi Amina, I thought the math was actually easy. Basically it was alot of %'s and pre-algebra. I scored a 89% and I'm terrible in math. I'm actually going to the one on Bladenburg Road in DC. It's not to far from my house. I work night shift so after I drop my youngest off at school it will only take me 30 minutes to get there. Actually I haven't started yet...Just paid my fees and orientation is on the 5th of January. I have heard alot of horror stories about this school, but I'm trying to have an open mind. Being 40 I don't have alot of options left. I've been in the medical field for over 18 years I'm currently working as an EMT/MOA rotating. I'm hoping I can swing the morning shift since it starts at 8am...and I don't get off unitl 7:30...alot of the current students I have met said they are understanding about not being there at 8 on the nose because alot of the students come from Baltimore to this location.

I've heard some horror stories, but I have a friend schedule to graduate in March and she said it's alot of reading and studying, but basically alot of reading. She said they do offer extra credit if you need help maintaining your 75%. Hope this was helpful let me know what you decide to do....

:nurse:Against everyone advice I started at Saint Micheal's school for nursing. It's a very well detailed program. My only complaint is the amount of chapters we cover per day. The test are fair as long as you read and study in your study book. You MUST read! You must be able to keep up with the fast paced and it's a lot of info in 8 hours....you must take notes and come to class prepared. Other than that no complaints soooo far on my end....you must apply yourself..

I went to Saint Michael with a open heart and positive attitude and honesty that school is horrible I dropped out. they are only after 1 thing which is Money they don't care for their students. The guy threaten to call the cops on me because I wanted to know more information of why I was being kicked out of class. Its horriable. I have never in my life been treated like that. Let me tell you save your money and invest in a Real University that you will get your Bachelor in. PERIOD this is a fake scam school.

I am sorry you had such a terrible experience there. It sounds like your a little angry because you couldn't pay your tuition and were asked to leave class. I had worked there awhile ago and from my experience they do care about their students. They are trying to graduate responsible RN's from this school. You can not cheat your way out of their program. Nursing is not a game you deal with peoples lives so if you think you can cheat here I agree DONT waste your money. I have seen a lot of hard working students make it so if you are serious you can make it at this school and everyone has to pay for your their education its not FREE if you don't pay you will be asked to withdraw plain and simple. The next time I suggest you do your homework about the schools tuition policies.
