St. Michael College of Allied Health or Career Training Solutions?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Im so torn as to which school to go to. Im tired of the only options in community colleges having almost a year long wait. I already have all my pre-req's from UDC so im good on that when I want to get my bachelors degree after becoming licensed RN. Does any one have any tuition information for either schools or know anything about them? I know career training solutions does offer federal financial aid which i like but i know nothing really about the other school. Any info would be helpful!!!

Hey everyone, this school enroll every January?

Do you know anyone graduated from Saint Michael college?

I am a current student in this school and will be graduating soon. LISTEN!!!! if you're not ready to study and study hard and smartly pleeeeeese don't come to this school. U can't be working full time and attend this school or get pregnant every year and graduate with ur mates nope...u have to be on top of ur game. I've read all the negative reviews here and to tell u the truth...it sounds like other nursing schools. U start with a class of 100 and towards the end, ur like 10-15 left in class...they've squeezed the chaffs out. Yup!if u doubt me try another nursing school..Nursing is not for everybody.Good luck!

i don't agree with you ...the school is noo way a scam..Im a current final year student there ...I would say its a very tough and difficult school but if u know how to manage ur time and study smartly u will excel. I advice students to fix thier personal lives together b4 coming here bcos once u start there's no room for excuses...its bam bam bam and if ur not strong you'll be lying half dead on d floor of disappointment and failure. Good luck in all ur future endervours.

Correct! I also attend SM'S and one thing for sure if you make it out you will know your stuff! I failed maternity and peds only because of the math....totally my fault. The school is fast paced. If your easily stressed this is not the school for you. Never in a million years did I think I would've made it thus far in the program. Yes I know two people who has graduated and passed the boards. Hopefully while waiting for the next class to start I'll be ready this go round. This school is hard no doubt about that. But you must READ!!!!!!It's no way around it....Hopefully I'll be one of the lucky 1's this July or August. Set myself back two months failing the two courses. But I'm more determined. Update coming soon....:) Nothing but positive vibes....

It's true I graduated December 21st 2017...and passed NCLEX for PN. You won't make it if you cheat. THEY don't PLAY! The school is hard not denying that but it is possible to pass and graduate.

I did in Dec...and passed my boards.

All i will say is I am currently a student at this school and everyday I wake up more depressed than I was before I entered the school. I wonder how this school is still open. We get threats whenever agents from board of nursing are coming of what to say. There is a set ahead from what I can see took there last nursing class January instead of December but they are yet to graduate the school. The lie to to you about the the length of the program teach nothing only one old lady takes all the classes then classes don't run every semester we have people who have never failed a class but have been here since 2016. It is a one man business being run by an egocentric inarticulate man. Wakes every morning with a different rule with no regards to your time plans and ambitions i wonder if this how he went to his own nursing school. There is no organization when ever I remember that people that finished since January don't even know when they are graduating because from what I can see it's at the end he starts wasting people's time instead impacting the knowledge and getting good teachers from the beginning it's towards the end he keeps them there cus of the fear of them failing the NCLEX . I was told it was a 14month program and I would be out from the loooks of it two years I won't even be out. If you are someone trying to take hold of your life trying to venture into a school to give a brighter future do not come here they will treat you worse like a nobody and you will constantly get threatened. Never have I contemplated killing myself unti I entered this school. Don't do it please how can I report this school who do I go to so I can expose them for there evil selfish practices.because now I have wasted my time and money and I don't think I can continue the set befor finished January didn't leave the school till August didn't write board until November December yet not all passed now the set ahead finished the same January and seems the same thing is happening when I call and ask the students they all sound defeated frustrated and angry no idea what is going on no date. So how will mine be any different. We go back to school to get knowledge move forward in life and not to be stuck in the same position because of a selfish persons fears. I regret this school. It should be at least sanctioned. This is for there RN program in Alexandria You are not taught you read yourself . In that case you might as well not come to class and just come and take exams and quizzes and go home. Presently only one good male teacher the other courses by only one old lady who know nothing never prepares for class as egocentric as her boss. Who can I report this school to I have proof.

Saint Michael College of Allied Health is for a serious student not for students that do not want to study. The school's programs (RN or LPN) prepare you to be z competent and functional nurse. Most of all these people giving negative reviews have no ideas how nursing school operates. Some of these people graduated from practical nursing programs that have been closed. Some that have not attended any nursing shools before do not understand the policies of nursing schools becuase this is their first nursing school.

I graduated from Saint Michael School of Allied Health last year, there is nothing wrong with this school. Unfortunately the students that have trouble with managing their schedule are always the ones crying and posting bad reviews because they work full time have families and/or personal issues. How can they expect to pass the program? The students that put 100% into the program and uses all the available resources will get 100% out of the program. I agree with the previous post you can not work full time and expect to have the best GPA. You have to read! If you are smart enough to make through this program it's almost guaranteed you will pass the NCLEX on your first attempt because you will get all the tools you need at Saint Michael College to do so. I am now working on my BSN.

Please am new here and about to start school on January at Saint Michael college.  Please what is the passing score for exams? Is 75% in everything or just 75% on exam average?
