I have an interview today with St. Joseph's providence hospital in burbank, ca. I have never been to this hospital and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the hospital is and if it was a good environment to work in.

Thanks!

i wish i did but i forgot to get cards from them too! i also would love to know how many they are interviewing. i want this soo bad!! Good luck to both of us!!!!

Yes! Best of luck to both of us, I also want this very much. How many ppl interviewed you? There was only two ladies. I wonder if there will be another round of interview's or we will know forsure in two weeks. It will be cutting it close if there is more interviews with a May 20th start date.

There were 4 people at mine, one was from clinical education, then the other three were the nurse mgrs from tele, ortho, and med/surg. Yeah I don't think there is another round of interviews, but i could be wrong...i really wish we knew how many people they interviewed!! It looks like its just you and I on this thread, but lets keep eachother posted if we get a call or anything :-)

I only have the clinical nurse educator and tele manager. I didn't find the questions to hard, but who knows if my answers were what they were looking for. Have you checked your status to see if it changed on Providence website? I check mine daily. Fingers crossed that we have an update early this week.

Do you receive a call today KBailee? I received a call this afternoon, she said we should hear something by the end of the week or beginning of next week. She also asked what units were 1, 2, and 3 choices.

I also got a call! Exact same as yours. My status online also changed from "pending interview" to "interview complete. under consideration". Did your's change too? Do you think this means we are in the final pool? Or does everyone get a call?

Yes, my status changed to. I am unsure if we are now in the final pool. I tried asking if they have narrowed it down at all. I did find out that 30 ppl were interviewed so are chances are good. What were your top 3 choices? Now that they opened up ICU to new grads. I said icu, bariatric, telemetry.

Wow only 30? That is a really good chance!! I chose telemetry, med-surg, then ortho...so did she tell you it was 30? I have been thinking about this non-stop, but just trying to theorize where i stand...thanks for the update, that is really helpful...

Yes, I asked her how many were interviewed. she said 30 for about 20 spots. I figured they would of interviewed triple that amount. So it seems our chances are really good. I am hoping they only called the 20 they wanted to get preferences for placement. I am right there with you about thinking about it non-stop. Fingers crossed that we hear something before the weekend.

Well no call today...but was not really expecting today anyways. Anything on your end? It would be so great to hear tomorrow one way or another!!

Nope, nothing here either. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be the day, I dont know how I will keep busy enough over the weekend to stay sane otherwise. Do you have your BSN or ADN? What are do you live in. I have my ADN but start my BSN this month. Hopefully that helps especially with them trying to be magnet status. I live in Santa Clarita.
