U.S.A. Texas

creating this since I haven't seen one for the upcoming Winter 2021 Residency for St. David's in Austin!

Do differentials need to be included in the offer? I am moving my family to Austin and need to be sure it is affordable. Also did you all have to sign a 2 year contract?

Wanna DM me?  I know a realtor/locator. The differentials are added to your check after the initial immersion period - they won't be in the initial offer, but your recruiter will let you know if any apply.  The only thing the initial offer states is that the base pay increases by $2 in July.

Yes, we all have to sign a 2 year contract.

My offer stated the $2 increase in July. I believe when you accept that offer you are accepting the 2 year contract as well. That’s what was stated in my offer letter.

Is St. David's starting pay standard across the board? What do they start y'all at? I'm curious how it compares to Seton and BSW

25 to start, 27 after immersion.  Differentials kick in after immersion.

yes they are pretty standard. BSW starts at 26.75 when I interviewed for them. Methodist was 25. THR 26.50. Other Christus are around 24-25. I interviewed a lot of places LOL. Not sure about Seton but would expect 24 to 27

Yeah that kind of confuses me. I thought it was 25 to start, and in July we go up to 27. Does that mean after immersion, we work only 3 days and get differentials? Differentials are only 2.50

You are correct, the increase in July. IDK what unit you're on, but I have a long immersion, so the dates line up a bit more, also there are multiple kinds of differentials.  And yes, I belive it's a standard 3 day schedule after immersion.

what unit are you on? I applied for PCU but accepted Tele. I didn't know there were multiple kinds of differentials. I was under the impression it was only 2.50 like my recruiter explained.

Did anyone else accept an offer for L&D North Austin? ?

I’m going to be in ICU and I’ll be getting a critical care unit differential as well
