Good to meet you too. I just met a woman who is in her first year at RVC and she really seems to like it. I got into SACN, yippee, but I don't know if i'm going to accept or not. It was my first choice but since my son has been diagnosed with diabetes I decided to apply to NIU as well. Their program is only three days a week instead of five and you go an extra semester.
I read on the pre-nursing board you are an alternate...I hope you get the spot!! Maybe i'll see you during clinicals!!

Hmmm...I've been a type 1 since 1980.
There's a very good endocrinologist in Belvidere. His name is Dr. Paul Reith. He's very generous with the free samples.
Hi there!
I JUST applied, I'll probably get put on a waiting list (cuz its so late) if I get in...I already have degree but my GPA from my previous degree was only a 2.6 from UW-Madison, so I am hoping they take the grades from my most recent classes more seriously! We'll see....what have you heard about grades and SACN? What about the waiting list?...Hope all is well.
Nope...I decided to do the RVC route. Hopefully I get into the spring 2007.
Good to see another Rockfordian
Hi! I am so excited to see someone else on here who will be going to RVC. This will be my first semester there (transferred from ECC) finishing my pre-reqs. Gonna apply for the Fall 2007 nursing program. Did you do your pre-reqs there too? Is there anything you can tell me about the nursing program there or the school? I am taking bio 103 and the required math this semester.
Hi Sail81, I hope you get in...let me know. I am not sure about SACN having a waiting list...I thought I read on the website that they have a waiting list based on GPA and other factors and that you would be notified of your position on it. I know they rank your overall gpa and your nursing pre-req gpa(which has to be above 2.7) seperately. I think the lowest gpa they took last year was well above 3.0 but I don't know if that is for nursing pre-reqs or overall. Let me know when you get word. Good Luck!!

I was just wondering if anyone else here has applied to the program for fall '07.
