Hello Everyone!! I didn't see a thread on this yet so I thought I would start one. I applied yesterday for the UCF Basic BSN that starts in the Fall, but since the window for the concurrent program opens prior to acceptance letters going out, I will also be applying to the concurrent program! Here are my stats...
AA - Completed with Honors (MCL)
Overall GPA: 3.65
Prereq GPA: 4.0
TEAS Score: 85.3
Anyone else finishing up their prereq's or just waiting for the window to open?
Hi!I am SO SO happy I stumbled upon this thread this morning at work! I'm glad I'm not the only one so anxious to hear back! Still haven't received any emails, and my status is "eligible" on the UCF online application tool. I have my bachelor's degree from FSU and my cum GPA is a 3.3, pre-req GPA is a 3.45. I got a 90% on the TEAS. And I finished my prerequisite courses Fall 2014! This is my second time applying for the SSC/UCF concurrent program. I applied to be admitted for Spring of 2015 but I had 2 classes still in progress
I was waitlisted my first time around and I have faith in myself this time!
Also, does anyone know the start date of the program in August?
Hopefully I will see you all then! Good luck!
Sounds like you will definitely get in!! I have my AA from FSU. Go noles! >>>----->
You also sound like a good candidate for the Accelerated BSN program at UCF.
Also, did anyone else see the class schedule? I don't know how accurate it actually is. But, if you go to the SSC FALL 2015 course listings, the classes are posted with days and times!
Question: didn't they tell us that we would hear back in 6-8 weeks? I know for the spring 2015 application they said 4-6 weeks but for some reason I thought they elongated it. I hope that isn't the case!!!!!
I think it was 6-8 weeks last time. Here's the thread from the Spring 2015 application window:

What was the window for the Spring 2015 app?
For the SSC portion of the application, the last day to apply for Spring 2015 was September 26th and they came back with results on October 31st. It was exactly 5 weeks. But I think they told us initially it would be 6-8 weeks.
I am hoping it will be exactly 5 weeks again and we'll find out tomorrow!! But they changed parts of the admissions criteria so maybe it will take a little longer than usual. If orientation is June 25th, we should be finding out really soon though because I imagine they must give us a month or so to get all the paperwork in, immunizations done, background check, drug screen, etc.

I am hoping it is tomorrow too. And follows closer to the UCF site.
From what the adviser told me, we're all in the same courses at SSC. The only difference is you guys will have extra classes that you go to UCF for (or later will do online only) that I won't be enrolled in.
Our SSC classes are the same though. I will still be with everyone else on SSC's campus if I get accepted. You guys will leave SSC's campus and go to UCF whatever day you have class at UCF (looks like Wednesday) and I will just go to work or home (most likely to work LOL).
It looks like Foundations of Nursing is only offered one day at one time so most likely we will all be in that class. Nursing Skills is offered two different days. The Health Assessment course is offered at a bunch of different times and a couple different days, so I think those are smaller groups, maybe like a lab. In which case, not everyone will be together (but I am just speculating on this part because I'm not sure how accurate that course listing is).
Long story short, they mix the generic and concurrent students within the SSC classes, as far as what the adviser told me. And my friend who was accepted to the ASN program in fall 2014 said the same thing.
