SSC/UCF Concurrent ASN/BSN Fall 2015

Published

Hello Everyone!! I didn't see a thread on this yet so I thought I would start one. I applied yesterday for the UCF Basic BSN that starts in the Fall, but since the window for the concurrent program opens prior to acceptance letters going out, I will also be applying to the concurrent program! Here are my stats...

AA - Completed with Honors (MCL)

Overall GPA: 3.65

Prereq GPA: 4.0

TEAS Score: 85.3

Anyone else finishing up their prereq's or just waiting for the window to open?

That is a bummer. There is always time to improve your score for Spring 2016 :)

Hey all!

Just submitted my application today for the Generic Program. My stats are:

Pre req - 3.5

TEAS - 80%

I went and retook the TEAS today hoping for a better grade but nope! didn't happen.

For Generic/SSC? They're using the category system right? and then 2nd comes the TEAS then 3rd is cumulative?

I thought it was based on the category system in the application too. However, when I spoke to the advisor she told me the first thing they look at is TEAS. So I'm not really sure.

Is anyone else already checking their e-mail multiple times a day  The real fun has begun. ;)

Hey everyone! I applied as well! So nervous! But I have faith that I'm going to make it in. Good luck to you all

Hey simplyash. Did you apply for concurrent or the generic? It is nerve wrecking waiting.. Almost one week down :D

One week down!!! :sarcastic:

I can't believe it's already been a full week!!! Time is flying. :geek: Can't wait to find out!

I applied to the concurrent :) this week flew by ! hope the rest go like this as well.

Woohoo. Weekends should be pretty easy. If accepted do any of you plan on working besides blondie 😜

I'm not working. I'm going to work and save over the summer, but come August I'm going to to put in my two weeks. What about you???? My status on the nursing website still says "under review":what: has anyone else's status changed???

Hi everyone! My name is Kirsten and I'm just finishing up my second semester of the concurrent program at SSC. I just wanted to wish you all good luck! I know the waiting is hard but once you get accepted, all the craziness begins. Next Saturday, the 25th, is the one year anniversary of me getting my acceptance letter and I can't believe how much has happened since then. :) And just an FYI, my class found out four weeks after our application window closed, so hopefully it will be the same for you. Take care and hopefully I'll be seeing you all soon!

My status is still 'under review' as well. I am not working either. I may reconsider after the first semester of NS to see if I would be able to handle working and NS together.

Thanks for the information Kirsten! Do you have many students who work and go to NS? How are the expenses for first semester, like books, clinicals, supplies?
